Yannone's last afternoon at Emminger Field
The senior who once beat Dunmore from this field ran for 109 yards in a 56-6 win.
Weston Yannone wanted one more afternoon at William Emminger Memorial Field. He got it in the rain, and he scored on three of four carries for 109 yards. Dunmore won, 56-6. The Bucks are 5-0. Susquehanna is 0-5.
He told the Times-Tribune he has played on that field since he was about four. In 2024, still a Susquehanna sophomore, he ran for 155 yards and three touchdowns in a 25-21 upset of Dunmore. His family moved into the Dunmore district in May 2025.
Xavier Burke scored twice, one on offense and one on defense. Josef Wolff and Anthony Cordaro each ran for a score. Brady McCormick threw for one. Russell Toole and Aiden Zilaitis each kicked four extra points. With 21 seconds left, Jaxson Williams took a pitch 46 yards so the Sabers would not be shut out. Williams said it was one of the few scores anyone had managed against Dunmore.
The league schedule starts Friday at Mid Valley.
