Dunmore football in the 1970s

Jack Henzes' first Dunmore team, in 1971, finished 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the Big 11. The year-by-year table then runs 5-4-2 in 1972, 9-2-1 in 1973, 9-2 in 1974, 10-2 in 1975, 5-6 in 1976, 3-6-2 in 1977, 10-1-1 in 1978, and 8-3 in 1979.

The Big 11 titles are 1973, 1974, 1975, and 1978. The Eastern Conference final losses are Mount Carmel 15-6 in 1973, Shamokin 33-20 in 1975, and GAR 27-21 in 1978.

Vic Fangio played on the 1973, 1974, and 1975 teams. The years without a published game story stay on this page. A Dec. 10, 2013 account of Valley View's 1972 season lists a 17-0 win over Dunmore. That is one result in another team's list.
