On Oct. 5, 2018, at Ambrose Mullen Memorial Stadium, Dunmore defensive lineman Tyler Overholtz stopped a Montrose drive with a sack on third down, then sacked quarterback Ethan Cina on second and third down on the next possession. Dunmore won 62-19. The first sack set up Cristian Buckley's 64-yard run to the 1 and the score on the next play, and the lead was 21-0. The next two sacks forced a punt, and Rayshaun Dawkins scored from 14 yards. Five touchdowns came in the first quarter. Dunmore was 5-2. Montrose was 0-7.
On Oct. 19, 2018, at Sharkey Rosetti Stadium, Dunmore beat Western Wayne 9-0. On third-and-8 from the 8, Overholtz charged quarterback Matt Valanda, and Kyle Harrity finished the tackle for a safety. Harrity said Overholtz slowed the quarterback and he finished the play. Dunmore had four sacks for minus-27 yards. Overholtz, Anthony Santarsiero, George Mesko, and Harrity led a defense that held Western Wayne to 32 yards in the second half, 21 of them on one completion to Dylan Walck. Western Wayne was 5-4 and took its third straight loss.
The Dec. 15, 2018 all-region story lists him at 6-foot-0 and 205 pounds, a senior defensive lineman. He had 69 tackles, 32 of them solo, with 19 tackles for loss and 11 sacks, on a team that won a fifth straight District 2 Class 2A championship. He was a two-year starter with more than 120 tackles in his career, and that account says he helped the team to 23 victories. On June 7, 2019, the All-Region defensive end was headed to Lackawanna College. That account gives the same 69 tackles, 19 for loss, and 11 sacks, and a career of 120 tackles.
On Aug. 29, 2021, Lackawanna's Dunmore graduate was set to start at tight end. He said he hoped to catch the ball and score, and to block for the run. The 2021 roster lists him as a sophomore tight end, No. 45, 6-foot-3, from Dunmore High School.
