Tom Hopkins

Tom Hopkins was a second-team all-state guard for Dunmore on the 1989 team that won the PIAA Class A championship. Dunmore beat Keystone 57-18 on Dec. 9. The semifinal, Dec. 2 at Elmer L. Meyers in Wilkes-Barre, was a 27-12 win over South Williamsport. Berwick won the Eastern Conference Class I final, 6-0, the only loss in a 13-1 season.
The Dec. 10, 2013 account calls that line the Hawgs. Hopkins was listed at 6-2 and 235 pounds. Tim Ruddy, 6-foot-4 and 255, was the all-state tackle. Before the Berwick game, Berwick coach George Curry said Henzes could beat a small college team with that line.
The same account says Hopkins went on to play at Lafayette College.
