Dave Silvestrini
Fullback and linebacker · Through 1991
In the 1989 PIAA Class 1A final, Silvestrini scored twice in a 57-18 win over Keystone. Tom DePietro and Tom Golden each scored twice in that game too. He was a fullback and a linebacker on that team. The Dec. 10, 2013 account has him as a second-team all-state linebacker, and has him and DePietro each over 800 rushing yards.
In 1990 he made the All-Region team as a fullback and again as a linebacker. The past-winners list names him the 1991 offensive player of the year. A Sept. 5, 2021 look-back, under 30 years ago, has him at 249 yards and four touchdowns in a 36-21 win over West Scranton. No college stop is in these stories.
